Artwork - Is It Over Yet?, 2022 PRINT Created by Aimee Rowland, Is It Over Yet? is a powerful oil painting on canvas that evokes feelings of exhaustion and quiet resignation. The oil on canvas depicts the woman's shoulders, her head unseen, allowing viewers to focus on the weight she carries in her posture. This striking composition leaves much to interpretation, symbolising the universal feeling of weariness and the yearning for release from life's struggles.
Is it over yet? A self-portrait representing the feelings of the mind and body uncommunicative and the way, as humans, we often ‘bury our heads in the sand’ and wait until it is all over.
